Delete your account and data

You can delete your EveryFive account and all learning data stored with it at any time. Below are two ways: deleting it yourself inside the app, and requesting deletion by email without installing the app. Deletion cannot be undone.

Option 1. Delete it yourself in the app (immediate)

  1. Sign in to EveryFive.
  2. Go to the Settings screen. (everyfive.app/settings)
  3. Under Support at the bottom, tap “Delete account and data”.
  4. When the confirmation appears, tap the confirm button once more. (This second step prevents accidental deletion.)

Once confirmed, your account and data are deleted immediately and you are signed out. If a paid subscription is still active, cancellation is requested as part of the deletion so that you are not charged again.

If you want to keep a copy first, use “Export my data (JSON)” on the same screen to download your full learning history before deleting.

Option 2. Request by email, no app needed

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, you can request deletion at the address below.

Send to: yongun.cho03@gmail.com
Subject: EveryFive — Delete your account and data
In the message, please state the email address you signed up with. (We need it to verify your identity.)

Once your identity is verified we process the request without undue delay (within 30 days at the latest) and reply to your address when deletion is complete. No account or app installation is required.

What gets deleted

Everything below is deleted. There is no option to delete only part of it and keep the rest.

  • Learning history — words studied and reviewed, quiz answers, pronunciation scores, study dates
  • Review state — per-word spaced repetition (SM-2) state, next review dates, today’s queue
  • Statistics — daily volume, streak records, badges and reward grants
  • Saved words — your favourites and word book
  • Subscription info — plan and status, license registrations, referral records
  • Profile — level, track, job, notification settings, push tokens
  • Account — the sign-in identity itself (your email address)

Limited exceptions

None of the data above remains on EveryFive servers. However, if you made a paid purchase, our payment processor Lemon Squeezy may retain transaction and receipt records for the period required by tax and accounting law. Those records are held by the payment processor under a legal obligation, not by EveryFive, and are destroyed once that period ends.

Server operation logs (such as error reports) may also retain non-identifying entries for a short period; these expire and are deleted automatically.
